Hello,
We truly hope the winter slump hasn't gotten you down too much. But we are on our way and getting a whopping extra 2 mins of daylight every day from now on, (it may be a grey, rainy and windy 2 mins but its still 2 minutes right) Here is some tips to help it make a little bit easier for you.
Tip No.1
Before turnout try applying a thin layer of our Essential oil coat conditioner to the lower legs as this can help repel moisture and reduce the risk of mud fever.
Tip No.2
Your horses hair is now in its resting state and this is when friction from saddles and rugs can cause rubs as there is no new hair growing to replace what's damaged. So make sure to check under those rugs daily checking your horse is clean and dry and mud free.
Weather Summary ( According to the horses)
- One horse refusing to leave the stable ❄️
- One horse dramatically offended by the puddles 🌧️
- One horse convinced the wind is personally attacking them 💨
- Finally you questioning why you ever chose this lifestyle 🥶
*Regular rug checks still advised
Stay safe and warm,
The Canter Club Team x
